Arugam Bay is a small village, native to fishermen, and people living a basic life during the 30-year civil war. Until the old school Australian surfers arrived, then slowly more and more people began coming and discovering it as a prime tourist destination.
We use all the resources we have to share what we know and understand about our village with our guests to provide them with a true local and authentic experience.

We cater mostly to guests that want to be a part of a community that lives an active life and willing to gain authentic local experience, opposed to a high-end commercial service focused on earning a profit, making our guest experience unmatchable.

Our traditional country kitchen is inspired by how our mothers cooked for us using home-grown and organic ingredients; if you are unable to stay with us, you can still enjoy our food and lush gardens by placing an order two hours in advance of each meal.
SURF N YOGA
We advise our guests to arrive early in the season around late May, June, & July to have access to nearly empty surf breaks as the peak of the season starts around the end of July until the end of October. Our private yoga garden allows for personal and group sessions.
LAND ACTIVITIES
Growing up in Arugam Bay and exploring the surrounding areas from surf breaks to national parks allowed us to gain local knowledge that a commercial service provider is not able to provide.

Sustainable and Eco-Friendly
We are committed to being sustainable and eco-friendly by growing fruits and vegetables on our nearby farm, composting leaves and food scraps, using solar energy, adopting a zero plastic policy, and digging three ground wells to supply us with fresh natural water.
